GCET - Gujarat Common Entrance Test - 2015

GCET 2015 - Gujarat Common Entrance Test acronym as GCET is conducted online by Gujarat Technological University (GTU) for providing admissions to aspiring candidates in Masters of Business Administration (MBA) and Masters of Computer Application (MCA)  courses in the colleges (list given below) affiliated with it.

GCET EligibilityEducational Qualification

Aspiring candidates should have a Recognized Bachelor’s Degree of minimum 3 Yrs duration with at least 50% (45% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) at the qualifying Examination.

Imp: The aspiring candidate must have passed graduation from any one of the Universities located in the state of Gujarat.
Note: Candidates who are in their final year of graduation are also eligible for the test.
Age Limits
There is no age limit for taking GCET Exam. Besides there is no limitation for number of attempt too.

GCET Exam Syllabus

GCET Exam consists of question from

1. Quantitative Aptitude
2. Logical Reasoning
3. English Language Skills
4. General Awareness

GCET Exam Pattern

GCET will be computer based test with choice of appearing twice in the test.

Test duration will be of 80 minutes and there will be 100 multiple choice questions with negative marking for wrong answers. However there will be test of 96 minutes for students appearing for MBA & MCA both with 120 multiple choice questions.

GCET Exam is normally held in the month of July.

How to apply for GCET Exam?
Aspiring candidates can follow the below given steps to apply for GCET Exam. 
Step 1

Visit the site to print the Fee Challan link given on the registration website and go to any of the help centres. Bank counter (List given below) will accept challan and fee there. By giving one stamped copy of the fee challan, candidate can get information brochure issued from the help centre, which comes with User - ID and Password.

Step 2

With the allotted User-ID and password  complete the application form on the website. www.gtu.ac.in. If a candidate is having difficulty to register online on his/her own, he/she can send an email to gcet@gtu.ac.in or contact the Central Control Room at GTU, Ahmedabad.

Step 3

Candidate has to report to the nearest Help Centre along with duly signed application form, acknowledgement slip and Photostat copy of required documents (Final Year Degree mark sheet, H.S.C examination mark sheet, S.S.C mark sheet) to get the registration acknowledgement slip.

Step 4
Downloads & prints hall ticket from the registration site.

GCET Exam Fee
Fees for application form is Rs.1000 for all categories. SC/ST candidates will get refund of Rs.200 on verification of their category.
