IFT MBA Entrance Exam 2015 - Indian Institute of Foreign Trade MBA
Entrance Exam acronym as IIFT MBA Entrance Exam is held by the
Institute, a Deemed University set up by the Department of Commerce,
Government of India, to admit candidates in MBA (IB) Degree programme being offered at
- IIFT Delhi Campus and
- IIFT Kolkata campus
IIFT Entrance Exam Eligibility
Educational Qualification:
The aspiring candidate should have a
recognized Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years duration in any
discipline. However Candidates appearing for a qualifying examination
can also apply subject to submission of proof of requisite qualification
by 07th October of the respective year.
Age:
There is no specific age bar for appearing in IIFT examination.
IIFT Entrance Exam Syllabus
IIFT Entrance Exam consists of questions from the subjects of English
Comprehension, Logical Reasoning, Quantitative Analysis.General
Knowledge & Awareness.

IIFT Entrance Exam Pattern
IIFT MBA entrance examination will be of 2 hours having objective questions from the following sections:
- English Comprehension.
- Logical Reasoning.
- Quantitative Analysis.
- General Knowledge & Awareness.
The candidates will be shortlisted on
the basis of their scores in the entrance examination. The shortlisted
candidates will be called at a later stage for Group Discussion,
Interview and Essay Writing for final selection.
How to apply for IIFT Entrance Exam?
Aspiring candidates can submit application online by visiting IIFT’s website.
Those who want to apply off line i.e in person can follow any of the following method:
1. By Cash
The Prospectus and IIFT Forms (Application Forms) may be obtained on all working days between 10.00 am – 4.30 pm on payment of
- Rs.1,500 for general Category
- Rs.750 for SC/ST/PH candidates( By brining category certificate ) and
- Rs.3,000 for Foreign Nationals/NRI/Children of NRIs) in cash personally from:-
- Indian Institute of Foreign Trade
B-21, Qutab Institutional Area,

2. By Post The Prospectus and Application
Form may be obtained from IIFT Delhi Centre only by sending a request
accompanied by demand draft/pay order of following amount payable at
Delhi.
- Rs.1,500 for general Category
- Rs.750 for SC/ST/PH candidates( By brining category certificate ) and
- US$ 75 or Rs.3,000 for Foreign Nationals/NRI/Children of NRIs) and
two self-addressed (with Tel. No.) adhesive stickers. SC/ST/PH candidates to attach requisite category Certificate also
Reservation Policy:
Seats within the Institute are reserved
as according to the various rules laid down by the Indian Government.
The reservation aspect is solely linked to the nature of the candidates
taking admission within the Institute under various categories.
Furthermore, apart from this type of reservations, seats are also
reserved for candidates that are NRI’S or children’s of NRI’s. Though
the exact quota is unknown yet, the admission is conducted through
General Management Aptitude Test or GMAT.
IIFT Entrance Exam Dates
The examination is conducted normally on the last Sunday of the month of November.
IIFT Entrance Exam Selection Process
Selection process for General / SC / ST / PH / OBC category :
Candidates of above categories will be
called for Group Discussion, Interview and Essay Writing to be held
during January/February at Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad,
Kolkata, Lucknow and Mumbai on the basis of their performance in the
written test and selected for the admission in the Institute on their
overall performance in all the above testing criteria.
For Foreign National / NRI / Children of NRI :
Candidates of above categories will be
called for Group Discussion, Interview and Essay Writing to be held
during January/February at Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad,
Kolkata, Lucknow and Mumbai on the basis of their performance in the
GMAT test and selected for the admission in the Institute on their
overall performance in all the above testing criteria.
Note:GMAT result should not have been declared
before January 1, 2014 and should be received by the Institute latest by
March 31st, 2014.(for admission in the session 2015-16).
