MICAT - Mudra Institute of Communications Ahmedabad Admission Test 2015

MICAT Entrance Exam 2015 - Mudra Institute of communication Ahmadabad Admission test entrance exam acronym as MICAT is conducted for admission to Postgraduate Programme in Communications Management (PGPCM), leading to Postgraduate Diploma in Management (Communications).

MICAT Entrance Exam Eligibility
Eligibility Conditions
Admission to the PGDM(C) programme requires a Bachelor’s degree with minimum 50% marks, or an equivalent qualification in any discipline recognised by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).

Candidates appearing for final examinations towards a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) are also eligible to apply subject to their full filling the conditions at the time of admission.

How to apply for MICAT Entrance Exam?
Aspiring candidates can follow any of the following modes to apply:-

Purchase application form from The Admission Office, MICA on cash payment of Rs.1750 or by sending a demand draft of Rs.1750 in favor of “MICA” payable at Ahmadabad, with one self addressed stamped (Rs.20) envelope of the size 12 X 10. Or

By registration online by following the below given steps
  1. Click on New Users Registration and enter your data in the online application form.
  2. Read through the Terms and Conditions and click on the I Agree button to accept the Terms and Conditions.
  3. Fill in the details requested in the online application form under Register tab. Please do not forget to fill in the fields marked (*) as these are mandatory fields. For any clarification regarding what needs to be filled in each field, click on the How to fill the Form link at the top.
  4. Click on the Save and Continue button at the bottom of the page.
  5. On the next screen, choose password, answer hint questions and click on the Submit button to register.
  6. The next screen will display your unique MICA ID.
  7. Now click on the “Click here to continue with your Educational Details” link. Please fill in all the information of Educational Details for class 10th, 12th and UG. Also fill in the PG Degree and work experience details if applicable.
  8. After successful registration, you will get an e-mail containing your MICA ID and password. Use this MICA ID for all future correspondence with Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad. Use this MICA ID and password to login and make any modifications to the details in your application form.
  9. Make Payment through
  • Credit Card – If you choose to pay through credit card
  • Demand Draft – If you choose to pay through a demand draft
Note: If you choose to make the payment at a later stage, you need to click on the Make Payment       button on the top of your screen after logging in with your unique MICA ID and password.
Payment Information
Candidates are required to pay a non-refundable registration fee of Rs.1750. They can follow any of the 2 ways of payment.
1.Online Payment through Credit Card:
Pay directly through Master or Visa card online. Follow the instructions on the website after choosing the credit card option.
2.Demand Draft
Get a demand draft for Rs.1750 from any Bank in favour of “MICA” payable at Ahmadabad.
  1. Choose the mode of Payment as DD in “Make Payment” Tab and click “Submit”.
  2. After clicking “Submit”. the Payment advice form will load;
  3. Take a printout of the Payment Advice form, sign & send it along with the DD to the Mudra Institute of communications, Ahmadabad,

MICAT Entrance Exam Pattern
The selection process for admission to the PGDM (C) involves two steps:
Stap-1 MICA Admissions Test (MICAT)
Step one consists of a written test designed to assess analytical ability, divergent thinking, written communication skills and general awareness about the Communications industry. MICAT will normally be held in February-March.
Step-2
Step two involves Group Exercise (GE) and Personal Interview (PI)
Candidates shortlisted on the basis of MICAT will be invited for Group Exercises and Personal Interviews in March-April and the final selection of the candidates will be on the basis of performance of the candidates in both the steps.
